"Afternoon Tea"
This was for my Graduation Project entitled 'Afternoon Tea'. I wanted to illustrate how as a nation we have a great love for Tea and the conversations that goes with it 'A little Tea, A little Chat'. In this project I wanted to put a 21st century spin on British tradition by using everyday conversations that really occur over a 'cuppa'. To do so, I used sayings I had overheard in British Tea Rooms and Coffee Shops to produce a 'nostalgic shock'. I used the objects surfaces and shapes to reveal the information therefore making the viewer interact with the item. Furthermore, despite some of the quotes I heard being quite shocking, I still wanted the information to look as if it belonged on the object, therefore I had to ensure I captured a sense of nostalgia and luxury through the use of delicate details and 1950's colour palettes.

Postcards
These designs are a response to a one week brief entitled "If you could ask God one question what would it be?". I decided to ask "If Heaven really exists, who is your favourite person there?". To illustrate this, I designed a range of Postcards with a selection of famous people on with the intention that they could be posted back with the answer.

Rolling News
This illustration was for a one day editorial brief. The main concept I picked up on from the article was how the new published in Newspapers; despite altering daily, it still has the same general concepts therefore the reader can almost predict what is coming in the following weeks such as politics, knife crime etc. In this illustration I exploited the high publicity associated with Barack Obama and used it to stitch a dot-to-dot which subtlety reveals the image. The numbers also act as a calender suggesting over weeks the image will develop.

Template Gothic 'Book'
This brief was to produce a 'book' that contained information on a selected typeface, Template Gothic. After considering the brief, I felt that, as long as the information was available and clear, the actual book format could be anything; in this case I used an old washing machine as this is what had inspired the font in the first place.

Map
The brief was to illustrate a map for a selected destination. I worked with the notion of a 'secret map'. I wanted the map to represent a route that was personal to the owner, directing them to somewhere that was special to them. As a result, I wanted the design to be printed somewhere hidden. To do so, I printed the maps onto the inside garments; this image shows the inside of a pair of Jeans.

Domestic Violence Campaign
I wanted to focus on household objects that are often used in Domestic Violence scenes. I made up my own face to look bruised and used it within the reflections of the selected objects to produce these powerful images (these are only photographs taken of the posters therefore they are slightly distorted)
